That went over like a turd in the punch bowl

Well, that didn't go as I'd hoped or expected. President Biden missed too many opportunities last night. A few things came to mind as I was watching/listening...

Over-prep is a real thing - It's not like we didn't know that Trump was going to lie and deflect from the very first word out of his mouth. From the raspy voice to the clearly obvious fatigue, President Biden had a horrible night. Focusing on detailed policy issues is not the right approach against Trump. Not only did President Biden miss opportunities, his prep team let him down.

I'm not ready to throw dirt on Uncle Joe like so many. He's been a very effective President and needs some space to evaluate this performance and come up with a plan. Let's get him and the VP out on the road, make some public speeches. If this continues to be an issue, then the hand wringing and arm flailing can start.
